Market Buzz: Big Bee Energy’s Sweet Start to Summer

Sound the trumpets (or at least the smoker), because Big Bee Energy honey is officially back for the season! After months of bee-breaking work, our ladies have produced a surplus and our shelves are restocked.

Today marked our first market of the year, the Downtown Littleton Farmer’s Market, hosted by our friends at LittletonQ. It was a perfect day to bring out our golden goods, reconnect with our community, and bee-gin another summer of sweet, sticky joy.

We slathered on sunscreen, fluffed our display, and served up honey, wax goodies, and our signature Big Bee Energy sass to a bustling crowd of locals. Our bees must’ve gotten the memo too — one of them buzzed over to check out our stand before heading back to forage. (She didn’t buy anything, but she did give it a 5-star wing-flap rating.)

The best part? Our hives are just down the road — less than half a mile away! So when we say our honey is local, we mean hyper local. This is locavore gold, baby. You could probably follow a bee and end up right at our front door — although we recommend asking politely instead.

The market was absolutely buzzing (we had to), with other amazing vendors slinging fresh bread, crisp veggies, gorgeous crafts, mouthwatering sweets, and more. We made new friends, tried some goodies, and definitely didn’t leave with three loaves of focaccia we absolutely needed for research purposes.

We’ll be at the Littleton Farmer’s Market every other week for the rest of the summer, spreading the good word (and the good honey). So come get sticky with us next time — we’ll be back on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Bring your reusable bag, your curiosity, and your sweetest self.

Stay golden,

🐝 Jay & Jake

I’ve always believed that a great portrait is a collaboration, not just a click of a shutter. My name is Jay, and for over a decade, I’ve been capturing the vibrant, the surreal, and the unapologetically authentic. Recently relocated from the mountains of Colorado to the Twin Cities, I bring an editorial eye and a 'laughter-first' philosophy to every session.

My work spans the spectrum of the human experience—from photographing the Mayor of Denver for Civilian Magazine to creating high-concept digital collages featuring the icons of the drag and variety scene. Whether I’m building a complex 100-layer digital piece or capturing a clean, professional headshot, my goal is to make my subjects feel like the most powerful version of themselves. I don't just take pictures; I help personalities shine through.
